Communication Options

Ethernet (Modbus TCP)

All AlphaESS inverters support Modbus TCP communication through their ethernet port. This provides:

  • Fast and reliable communication
  • Easy integration with home networks
  • Remote monitoring capabilities

RS485

Most models (except STORION-H30) support RS485 communication, offering:

  • Reliable long-distance communication
  • Multiple device daisy-chaining
  • Industry-standard protocol support

  • There is no general consensus in the industry about the usage of A and B for the RS485 polarity, so it may be counterintuitive and opposite of what you might expect for some devices.
