SolarEdge inverters – API (Grid Services)

SolarEdge
Warning
Warning

The API is only aviable for Cloud controllers.

Supported Devices

The SolarEdge Grid API driver works at site level:
once the gateway is connected, all inverters registered on the same SolarEdge monitoring site become visible.
Below are the models we frequently encounter – any other SolarEdge inverter should behave identically.

Device Type
HD-Wave single-phase (SE3000–SE7600)
Three-phase (SE9K–SE33.3K)
Commercial Synergy (SE66K / SE100K)

Configuration steps

Prerequisite: your SolarEdge site must already send data to the SolarEdge monitoring portal (monitoring.solaredge.com).

  1. Sharing the Site

    • Share the SolarEdge installation with solaredge@eniris.io to allow external control.
  2. Add in SmartgridOne

    • Contact SmartgridOne regarding the addition of a new site.

Inverter Control

The inverters can be controlled by setting the maximum power to a percentage of the inverter's nominal power.

Tip
Tip

If a SolarEdge Grid Meter is connected to the inverter, the inverter can be set to self-consumption. This ensures that no energy is injected back into the grid, but enough is produced to compensate for consumption.
