De onderstaande documentatie is overgenomen uit de homeassistant-solax-modbus publieke GitHub-repository. Het originele document is hier te vinden. Credits worden gegeven aan de auteurs van dit document.
Opmerking: Dit document hieronder is niet op maat gemaakt voor de SmartgridOne Controller; maar geeft algemene instructies over hoe Modbus-communicatie met Solax omvormers in te stellen.

- SolaX G2 & SolaX G3 Hybrides hebben ingebouwd Ethernet (De Qcells Q.VOLT HYB-G3-3P is een SolaX G4 ondanks de G3 benaming).
- SolaX G4 en andere hebben geen ingebouwd Ethernet, communicatie is mogelijk via seriële RS485 COM-poort.
- Alleen SolaX - Niet alle SolaX dongles bieden modbuscommunicatie, de minimaal ondersteunde PocketWiFi is PocketWiFi 3.0 PocketLAN biedt geen Modbus-verbinding.
- RS485 naar Ethernet-adapter - de beste manier om verbinding te maken met uw omvormer.
- RS485 naar USB-adapter - niet aanbevolen, kan fouten veroorzaken in HA.
- Solis dongle - zie hieronder
De RS485-interface gebruikt alleen pin4 (blauw draad) en pin5 (wit-blauw). Polariteit is belangrijk, dus zorg ervoor dat pin4 (blauwe draad in typische kabels) is aangesloten op de A-lijn van uw adapter en pin5 (wit-blauwe draad) op de B-lijn van uw adapter.
RS485-kabels kunnen vrij lang zijn, dus 25 meter of meer is mogelijk. U kunt het blauwe paar van een standaard cat5- of cat6-kabel gebruiken.
Zorg ervoor dat u de baudrate van uw omvormer verifieert met de Wiki Pagina en zorg ervoor dat deze overeenkomt met de baudrate van de Ethernet naar RS485-adapter. U kunt de baudrate bevestigen op het LCD-scherm aan de voorkant van uw omvormer, binnen de menu's.
Het standaard Modbus-adres is 1. Sommige mensen hebben gerapporteerd dat hun Modbus-adres 4 was.
Let op: Dit werk is gebaseerd op de algemene protocoldocumentatie voor de X1- en X3-apparaten. De documentatie is niet altijd duidelijk over welke parameters niet van toepassing zijn op de X1-omvormer, waardoor sommige van de entiteiten die verschijnen mogelijk geen betekenis hebben op de X1. U kunt dit melden en ze kunnen worden verwijderd voor X1.
Er is een poort gemarkeerd COM op de G4-omvormer, sommige gebruikershandleidingen beweren ten onrechte dat dit een Ethernetpoort is.
VERBIND DEZE COM-POORT NIET MET EEN ETHERNET-SWITCH - uw Ethernet-switchpoort gaat dood als u dit doet!!!
Waveshare RS485 naar ETH (B)

verbindt via Ethernet met uw thuisnetwerk router/switch

gebruik de "vircom" tool (Windows) om het IP-adres in te stellen dat overeenkomt met uw lan (of om het apparaat DHCP te gebruiken, het gebruikt echter niet standaard DHCP; we raden aan een statisch IP te gebruiken)

configureer het voor "Modbus TCP naar RTU", zorg ervoor dat de werkmodus "TCP Server" is en de server luistert naar poort 502. Zorg ervoor dat de baudrate overeenkomt met de baudrate van uw omvormer (zie: instellingen > geavanceerde instellingen > modbus > baudrate)

u kunt de configuratie verifiëren door de webpagina van uw adapter te openen. Het zou iets dergelijks moeten tonen:

In het onwaarschijnlijke geval dat u meerdere omvormers op één RS485-adapter heeft aangesloten, moet u mogelijk de multi-host-vlag aanpassen (niet getest). Het systeem zal de afstand tussen berichten vergroten, wat de communicatiecapaciteit zal vertragen. Zorg ervoor dat uw pollinginterval lang genoeg is (de act-led mag niet de hele tijd branden).

als alles goed is, zou de PWR LED rood moeten zijn, de LINK LED zou aanvankelijk groen moeten zijn en permanent blauw worden zodra HA de verbinding tot stand heeft gebracht. De ACT LED zou het grootste deel van de tijd uit moeten zijn, maar zou kortgroen (verzenden) en blauw (ontvangen) moeten knipperen om de 15 seconden (het standaard pollinginterval). Uit de Waveshare-documentatie:
- Als het Link-lampje niet groen is, is de netwerkkabel niet goed aangesloten, controleer de netwerkkabel.
- Als het Link-lampje niet blauw is (alleen de TCP-werkmode in overweging nemen), heeft de hostcomputersoftware geen seriële poort. De server stelt een verbinding in, overweeg of het IP-adres in hetzelfde netwerksegment is geconfigureerd.
- Als het Actieve lampje groen is, betekent dit dat de netwerkaansluiting gegevens verzendt, maar er is geen serieel apparaat dat gegevens terugstuurt. Controleer of de baudrate correct is ingesteld en of de RS485-positief en -negatief omgekeerd zijn aangesloten.
Bij het configureren van de SolaX Modbus-integratie, geef het netwerk IP-adres van het Waveshare-apparaat op, niet het adres van de SolaX. Vink de seriële RS485-vlag niet aan; de seriële poort wordt in deze opstelling genegeerd.
USB naar RS485-adapter
- Direct via USB verbonden met uw HA-systeem
- Dit goedkoop model is te vinden in verschillende e-shops, zoek naar USB RS485
- Chipset CH340C (vergelijkbare producten met FTDI FT232 chipset zouden ook moeten werken, maar zijn duurder)
Bij het configureren van de SolaX Modbus-integratie, vink de 'RS485 seriële poort' vlag aan en geef de werkelijke seriële poortnaam op (zoals gezien in de uitvoer van 'ls /dev/ttyUSB*'). Als u meer dan één usb-apparaat heeft, is het logisch om de naam te gebruiken die te zien is in de uitvoer van 'ls /dev/serial/by-id'. In deze opstelling doen het IP-adres en de TCP-poort er niet toe, gebruik 'localhost' als IP-adres en laat de TCP-poort standaard 502.
Meerdere omvormers verbonden met één RS485-adapter & Terminerende weerstanden
Het moet mogelijk zijn om meerdere omvormers aan dezelfde RS485-adapter (bijv. Waveshare) aan te sluiten. De omvormers moeten verschillende Modbus-adressen hebben, dus u moet eerst de Modbus-adressen van de omvormers wijzigen. Configureer vervolgens één instantie voor elke omvormer. De configuratiedialog biedt u de mogelijkheid om het Modbus-adres in te stellen.
Het gebruik van terminerende weerstanden is vereist bij het aansluiten van meerdere omvormers. Plaats een 120Ohm weerstand over A&B op de RS485-adapter en plaats een 120Ohm weerstand over A&B op de laatst aangesloten omvormer.
SolaX PocketWiFi 3.0
Deze interface vereist meer testen en is niet gegarandeerd om te werken:
- Verbind de dongle met uw Wi-Fi-netwerk
- Werk de firmware bij naar de nieuwste versie
- Stel integratie in met IP van de dongle en andere standaardinstellingen.
